Feast of Tabernacles—2001 What a great Feast of Tabernacles, 2001 we had at sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. More than one hundred thirty nine brethren came to celebrate the Feast.
On the first day of the Feast there was a special event remembering the events of September 11th. The children paraded with American flags and Miriam Moreno sang a beautiful, moving rendition of America The Beautiful. We thank our God for His protection and ask for mercy and peace to all those who lost family members and friends in the attacks. Powerful sermons by John Shavers from the Church of God in New Mexico, Tony Fontao from the Church
of God in Miami, Glen Seeagraves from the Church of God in Clearwater, Manuel Rojas and Ricky Siano from the House of God in Daytona Beach, highlighted the Feast. Sermonttes were given by Nelson Moreno, Steve Pope, and John Owens. Beautiful special music was performed by Miriam Moreno, Clerenton Johnson, and the Festival Youth Choir. Old acquaintances were renewed and many new friends were made. We were blessed throughout the Feast with
sunny, warm days, and clear cool nights. Services were held at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Marina Cove Conference Center. Besides daily Worship services, there were children Bible classes, Bible studies and a special service in Spanish. All services were translated from English/Spanish or Spanish/English. Activities included bowling, a family Bar B.Q., miniature golf, a dinner/dance and everyone's favorite the talent show.
